According to the regular asset change report disclosed by the National Assembly Public Officials Ethics Committee on the 31st, the wealthy lawmakers with assets over 50 billion won were Ahn Cheol-soo, Jeon Bong-min, and Park Deok-heum from the People Power Party, and Park Jeong from the Democratic Party of Korea, totaling four.

The assets reported by Ahn this time amounted to 134.796 billion won, a significant decrease compared to the previous 204.0555 billion won. This change is due to the valuation of 1.86 million shares of AhnLab held by Ahn, which dropped from 193.44 billion won to 124.062 billion won.

Despite a reduction of 69.3459 billion won, he was still recorded as the lawmaker with the highest assets.

Next, Jeon Bong-min of the People Power Party reported 55.91677 billion won, ranking second in asset holdings. Jeon reported 106.55578 billion won last year, but this time it decreased by nearly half. This was due to changes in the blind trust of stocks and the valuation of unlisted stocks he owns. The valuation of companies where he served as CEO, such as Ijin Housing and Dongsu Construction, decreased from 91.86016 billion won last year to 44.36192 billion won this year.

Park Deok-heum of the People Power Party also reported assets of 52.61714 billion won this year, down from 67.23846 billion won last year. This was due to the establishment of a blind trust for unlisted stocks he owns. Most of Park’s assets consist of real estate. Park and his spouse reported land including plots in Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and farmland in Bukbang-myeon, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do.

Park Jeong of the Democratic Party of Korea reported 45.81482 billion won last year, but this year reported 50.5985 billion won. This reflects changes in the valuation of unlisted corporations such as Park Jeong Language Institute, which he owns. The total unlisted stocks reported by Park, including those of his spouse, amounted to 15.495 billion won, an increase from 13.33667 billion won last year.
