Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has started spring road maintenance from the 27th of last month until April 28th to create a safe and pleasant road environment.
Cheongsong-gun is carrying out spring road maintenance this year to create a safe and pleasant road environment.
The target sections include 119.4 km of county roads (16 routes), 357.6 km of rural roads (124 routes), totaling 140 routes and 477 km.
The county plans to focus on pothole repairs, road drainage facility maintenance, resurfacing of deteriorated roads, bridge and tunnel maintenance, repair of damaged road safety facilities, removal of illegal occupancy facilities within road zones, and roadside surface cleaning. Using its own equipment and 15 road maintenance workers, minor repairs will be carried out immediately, and separate plans will be established for restoration projects requiring more time to ensure prompt maintenance.
In particular, for national and local roads under the jurisdiction of other agencies within the area, a close cooperative system will be maintained with each road management authority to establish a seamless and safe road environment.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “Through continuous road maintenance, we will do our best to provide a safe and pleasant road environment for residents and tourists, enhancing the image of ‘Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong-gun.’”
