Jeon Ho-hwan, president of Dongmyung University, attended the Korea-Uzbekistan University Presidents Forum and signed cooperation agreements with six universities.
The 1st Korea-Uzbekistan University Presidents Forum was held from the 27th to the 29th at Tashkent State University of Economics in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, under the theme "Innovation and Role of Universities Leading Economic Growth in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and Bilateral Cooperation Measures."
From Korea, 18 universities including Kyungpook National University, Kangwon National University, and Dongmyung University participated, while 57 universities from Uzbekistan took part.
The forum began with a welcome speech by the president of Tashkent State University of Economics, followed by congratulatory remarks from the ministers of education of both countries, a keynote lecture, and two thematic sessions.

The theme of Session 1 was "The Role of Universities in Innovation and Technology for Economic Growth," chaired by Jeon Ho-hwan, president of Dongmyung University. Session 2 focused on "Exchange and Cooperation Measures in Higher Education between the Two Countries," featuring presentations and discussions by the university presidents of both nations.
During the event, President Jeon Ho-hwan visited Tashkent Ajou University (AUT), operated by Ajou University, where he received explanations about the university's status and toured the campus facilities. AUT is a franchise university that exports the curriculum and know-how of Korean universities to the local area.
Dongmyung University signed cooperation agreements with six universities, including Tashkent State University of Economics, covering joint degree programs, student recruitment, and mutual academic exchanges.
