Dior announced on the 30th that it has established the world's first 'Reverse Aging International Committee,' composed of globally renowned researchers, at the International Beauty Anti-Aging Conference held in Monaco for skin and aging research.
This committee consists of experts in basic science studying the determinants of cellular aging, as well as sociologists, psychologists, botanists, and dermatologists researching the effects of age from a social perspective.
Dior stated, "We continue meaningful challenges against time," adding, "The committee was formed with the goal of reversing the effects of time on the skin to achieve the brand mission of imprinting beauty."
Dior also explained that, in addition to forming this committee, it is attempting to combine science and beauty through the 'Dior Science International Committee' together with over 600 researchers affiliated with LVMH Research.
Since the 2000s, the field of reverse aging has greatly advanced by identifying twelve cellular characteristics of aging. In particular, related research has become essential in skin science, including studies on cellular senescence, stem cell depletion, and telomere exhaustion. The Dior Science International Committee plans to promote technology development to achieve results in such research.
