HLB Affiliate Notus Changes Company Name to 'HLBBiostep'

Contract Research Organization (CRO) Companies for Validity Nonclinical Clinical Trials

Notus, a contract research organization (CRO) specializing in efficacy non-clinical clinical trials, announced on the 30th that it has changed its name to HLB BioStep. This change aims to strengthen its identity as a member of the HLB Group.

Notus held a shareholders' meeting on the 30th and approved the agenda to change its name to 'HLB BioStep.' This comes one year after being acquired by HLB last year.

The new name embodies the philosophy of establishing standards for efficacy testing at the initial stages of new drug development while securing a confidentiality system to succeed together with clients and partners. Along with the new name, the slogan was also set as 'First Step to Success,' meaning 'We will be with our clients from the very first step toward the success of new drug development.'

Since its founding in 2012, HLB BioStep has conducted over 1,000 animal experiments annually on average. With this name change, the company plans to implement more professional and comprehensive services across all non-clinical areas.

The company is also expanding its infrastructure business by providing one-stop services covering the entire process from design, construction, to maintenance and management of bio research facilities, following its recent focus on non-clinical CRO services.

As we embark on a new start with a new name, we will do our best to achieve higher customer satisfaction going forward."
