Local Tax Allocation Seminar by Ministry of the Interior and Safety Held in Mokpo

Over 500 Public Officials from Nationwide Metropolitan and Basic Local Governments Attend

Local government officials in charge of local allocation tax from across the country gathered in Mokpo.

According to Mokpo City on the 30th, the "2023 Local Allocation Tax Workshop" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety is being held from the 30th to the 31st at the Cultural and Arts Center performance hall located in Gatbawi Culture Town.

This workshop is attended by about 500 local allocation tax officials from metropolitan and basic local governments, providing education on the 2023 local allocation tax operation direction, and the operation of the general and real estate allocation tax systems.

Park Hong-ryul, Mayor of Mokpo, said in his welcoming speech, "I am very pleased that the workshop is being held in Mokpo," adding, "Budget is the backbone of administration. I hope this workshop will be a beneficial and rewarding time for local financial management."

A city official stated, "Since the workshop will continue for two days and extend into the weekend, it is expected to have a significant impact on tourism in Mokpo," and added, "We will continue to attract large-scale nationwide events to revitalize the local economy."

Meanwhile, the local allocation tax is a system in which the state allocates the necessary financial resources for the administrative operation of local governments and adjusts finances to promote sound development of local administration.
