Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) conducted a coastal cleanup activity around Gungpyeong-ri Beach on the 30th, together with related organizations such as Gyeonggi Province, Hwaseong City, and Gyeonggi Southern Fisheries Cooperative.
This activity was carried out as part of the marine litter collection campaign "Gyeonggi Sea Together (海)," a joint effort by Gyeonggi Province, coastal cities, and public institutions under the provincial government to preserve the marine environment within the province.
The GH executive volunteer team collected discarded waste such as used styrofoam and plastic along the coastline that day.
Kim Se-yong, President of GH, stated, "We will do our best to fulfill our role as a representative public institution of Gyeonggi Province by organically cooperating with related organizations, including Gyeonggi Province, to contribute to solving environmental issues within the province."
GH plans to participate in the "Gyeonggi Sea Together (海)" activities more than four times annually, including cleanup activities linked to marine environment preservation campaigns scheduled for the second half of this year.
