Lee Hyoyul, CEO of Pulmuone, "Promoting Sustainable Growth Focused on Profitability"

Lee Hyo-yul, CEO of Pulmuone, expressed his commitment to continuing sustainable growth focused on profitability at the '2023 Pulmuone Open General Meeting of Shareholders' held on the 30th at Pulmuone headquarters in Suseo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

At this shareholders' meeting, Pulmuone presented its goal to pursue sustainable growth centered on profitability through digital transformation (DX)-based innovation and expansion of company-wide core strategic businesses. In his opening remarks, CEO Lee stated, “To achieve profit growth, we will boldly streamline underperforming businesses, product lines, channels, and services, and significantly improve technology, supply chains, and infrastructure in our core strategic areas of plant-based orientation and animal welfare to dramatically increase their sales proportion.”


CEO Lee emphasized, “To effectively respond to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we will accelerate the pace of digital and process innovation to lead change and innovation, and also focus on ESG management. We will do our best to grow into a leading global company in healthy food and a representative ESG company.”


At this shareholders' meeting, six major agenda items were addressed: approval of financial statements, approval of partial amendments to the Articles of Incorporation, approval of outside director appointments, approval of audit committee member appointments, approval of director remuneration limits, and approval of amendments to executive retirement benefit regulations. Through the approval of the partial amendments to the Articles of Incorporation, Pulmuone revised and announced parts of its Articles. The entire preamble of the Articles was changed to narratively incorporate Pulmuone’s identity, the brand spirit of ‘Love Thy Neighbor and Respect for Life,’ and the new mission of ‘a company creating a healthy tomorrow for people and the planet through right food.’
