On the 30th, Simmons announced the opening of the ‘Simmons Gallery Gwangju Sangmu Branch’ in Ssangchon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City. It is the only gallery store in the Honam region, located in the central Sangmu district of Gwangju.
‘Simmons Gallery’ is Simmons’ directly operated flagship store, a lifestyle showroom that attempts differentiated spatial communication by region.
The Simmons Gallery Gwangju Sangmu Branch is located in a key commercial area densely populated with large furniture and electronics stores such as Lotte Hi-Mart Sangmu Branch and LG Best Shop Seogwangju Main Branch, offering one-stop shopping opportunities for customers preparing for moving or marriage. Additionally, large apartment complexes such as Universiade Hillstate, Gwangcheon e-Pyeonhansesang, and Sangmu District Hyundai Apartments are concentrated near the store, attracting a diverse customer base including newlyweds and families. Furthermore, it is expected to cover demand from Jeonnam areas like Hwasun, Jangseong, Damyang, and Naju, as well as Jeonbuk areas such as Gimje, Jeongeup, and Namwon.
The two-story Simmons Gallery Gwangju Sangmu Branch conveys Simmons bed’s luxurious brand image and sophisticated atmosphere. The first and second floors of the store are connected by an open staircase.
Upon entering the first floor, the dark gray walls and black carpet create a refined and luxurious atmosphere. In this space, visitors can experience ‘Beautyrest BLACK,’ Simmons’ top-tier line and the leading domestic ultra-premium bed. Alongside this, the ‘Heritage Alley,’ showcasing Simmons’ brand history of over 150 years, and the ‘Rolling Tester’ used for mattress durability testing at the Simmons Factorium’s sleep research and development (R&D) center are exhibited, allowing visitors to directly verify Simmons’ unique technology and expertise.
The second floor is designed with a calm and stable wood-tone atmosphere. Here, customers can experience popular models from Simmons’ representative mattress collection ‘Beautyrest,’ including ‘Zalmon,’ ‘William,’ ‘Edison,’ and ‘Henry,’ which are considered national wedding beds. The store offers a variety of sizes, from ‘Super Single (SS)’ perfect for single-person households and children’s beds, to ‘King of King (KK)’ and ‘Great King (GK)’ preferred by newlyweds and families, allowing customers to choose products that fit their lifestyle.
The store also features the limited edition ‘Beautyrest 1925,’ released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Beautyrest. As part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) efforts, 5% of the consumer price from each sale of this product will be donated to the remodeling fund for the Pediatric and Adolescent Center at Samsung Seoul Hospital, scheduled for completion in 2025. Additionally, customers can explore the new frames ‘Arla,’ ‘Luen II,’ and ‘Soley,’ along with the lifestyle collection ‘Kenosha,’ which includes various hotel-style premium bedding and furniture, allowing for bedroom styling exclusively with Simmons products, known as the ‘Simmons Look.’
