DB Financial Investment (CEO Kwak Bong-seok) announced on the 30th that it will hold an "Art Collection" at the VIP lounge within the DB Alpha+ Club, where high-quality asset management experts gather, featuring exhibitions of works by famous artists and art-tech seminars.
This Art Collection will be held for one month from April 5 to May 4, showcasing works by Kusama Yayoi, Andy Warhol, Ha Tae-im, and Go Min-cheol, along with art-tech seminars.
The exhibition of famous artists will be open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the art-tech seminars will be held every Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the exhibition period. The seminars will be divided into <1st part> "Why You Should Be Interested in Art-Tech" and <2nd part> "Current Status of the Korean Art Market and the Right Direction for Collecting," providing a proper understanding of the art market and tax-tech (稅-tech) information.
On April 5 at 5 p.m., an opening event will be held, offering an opportunity to meet the exhibiting artist (Go Min-cheol) to deepen understanding of the artist’s worldview and works. Additionally, a VIP exclusive docent reservation system will be operated.
The domestic art market is rapidly growing as the MZ generation’s art purchase rate increases. The advantage of art-tech is that, unlike real estate, there are no acquisition tax, property tax, or comprehensive real estate tax, and taxes are only incurred on capital gains, reducing the tax burden. Furthermore, even if the price of artworks rises, income tax is not applied to works by living Korean artists or pieces priced below 60 million KRW per point. Among various alternative investments, art-related financial technology is becoming a new trend, with advantages highlighted through tax benefits and liquidity.
This event, where you can experience both art and finance together at the DB Alpha+ Club with DB Financial Investment’s top experts, will be operated by prior phone reservation. Reservations and inquiries can be made through the DB Alpha+ Club.
