This plan focuses on enhancing the effectiveness of crime prevention environmental improvement (CPTED) projects through integrated management over the next five years.

The specific implementation strategies include improving CPTED-related systems, building an integrated management infrastructure for CPTED projects, strengthening collaboration among related agencies involved in CPTED projects, and raising awareness of CPTED.

The Ministry of Justice plans to promote system improvements to increase effectiveness, such as specifying CPTED requirements in building and urban development regulations and developing standard manuals. A new council involving related agencies will be established, and a collaboration system with local governments will be prepared to build an integrated management infrastructure.

The plan also includes strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and related agencies such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, as well as activating online and offline promotional activities and training for local government officials.

The Ministry of Justice stated, "We will strive to alleviate public anxiety and realize a safe society through the establishment and implementation of the Basic Plan for Crime Prevention Environmental Improvement."
