Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do has begun full-scale investigation and surveying for eight cadastral resurvey districts this year.
According to the county on the 30th, the cadastral resurvey districts include Wolgok 1 District and Suwol District in Gochang-eup, Wolsan Sanjeong District, Hwangsan District in Gosu-myeon, Hapyeong District in Gong-eum-myeon, Dongchon District in Sangha-myeon, Ipjeon District in Sillim-myeon, and Seowol District, totaling eight districts.
Earlier, the county established an implementation plan in November last year and obtained consent from more than two-thirds of the residents before applying for district designation to Jeollabuk-do last month.
Subsequently, all project districts were approved, accelerating the project implementation.
Through the cadastral resurvey project so far, efforts have been made to resolve discrepancies by creating new cadastral records for areas where land boundaries do not match the actual situation.
In particular, to increase land value and resolve inconveniences in exercising property rights of landowners, since 2013, 5,251 parcels in 12 districts have been promoted, receiving positive responses from landowners.
Baek Ki-young, head of the Comprehensive Civil Affairs Office of Gochang-gun, said, “The cadastral resurvey project sets new cadastral boundaries that correspond to reality, resolving boundary disputes, increasing land use value, and protecting property rights. We ask for active participation from landowners.”
