POSCO Future M has continued its tradition of reaching non-negotiated wage agreements for 27 consecutive years.
POSCO Future M held the 2023 wage non-negotiation delegation ceremony at its Pohang headquarters on the 29th. On the 29th, POSCO Future M held a non-negotiated wage delegation ceremony at its Pohang headquarters, attended by CEO Kim Jun-hyung, Masuk-ung, Chairman of the Manufacturing Union, Hwang Seong-hwan, Chairman of the Maintenance Union, Kim Young-hwa, Employee Representative of the Labor-Management Council, and Shin Yong-su, Head of the Maintenance Union Gwangyang Branch, among other employee representatives, to delegate the 2023 wage negotiations to the company.
The labor and management of POSCO Future M agreed to continue the tradition of mutual growth and focus more on securing global top-tier competitiveness and future growth.
With this delegation decision, POSCO Future M set a record of 27 consecutive years of non-negotiated wage agreements since 1997. This is the longest record among manufacturing conglomerates with over 1,000 employees.
POSCO Future M is doubling its sales every year by increasing investment in secondary battery materials. Currently, it is pursuing the establishment of a new cathode material joint venture plant in Canada, expansion of the precursor production line in Gwangyang, and expansion of cathode and artificial graphite anode material production in Pohang. It also plans to actively expand production facilities not only domestically but also in the Americas and Europe in the future.
CEO Kim Jun-hyung expressed gratitude, saying, "I am thankful that we have been able to continue the non-negotiated delegation agreement based on trust between labor and management," and urged, "Let us unite as one to create a company where all members are happy and proud."
