Kim Jin-wook, Chief of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit, reported assets totaling 1.835 billion KRW, an increase of 18 million KRW compared to last year.
According to the '2023 Regular Asset Change Report Disclosure' released on the 30th by the Government Officials Ethics Committee through the official gazette, Kim reported real estate assets worth a total of 1.3525 billion KRW, including a leasehold (jeonse) right of 1.3125 billion KRW for an apartment in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, under his and his spouse's names, and a leasehold right of 40 million KRW for an apartment in Wolgye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, under his name.
He reported holding 8,205 shares of MikobioMed, which was an issue during the confirmation hearing. However, the value decreased from 74 million KRW to 39 million KRW due to a drop in stock price.
He also reported bank deposits totaling 427.5 million KRW, including 425 million KRW under his name, 1.1 million KRW under his spouse's name, and 900,000 KRW under his eldest son's name. Regarding vehicles, he reported owning one 2015 Genesis, the same as last year.
Yeo Woon-guk, Deputy Chief of the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials, reported 3.4 billion KRW, a decrease of 610 million KRW from the previous year. The reported amount decreased as his father refused to disclose his assets.
Deputy Chief Yeo reported an apartment worth 2.8 billion KRW in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, jointly with his spouse. He also reported land worth 1.7 million KRW located in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do.
He reported bank deposits totaling 441 million KRW: 128 million KRW under his name, 267 million KRW under his spouse's name, and 45 million KRW under his eldest son's name.
His parents refused to disclose their assets citing 'independent livelihood maintenance' as the reason.
