[2023 Asset Disclosure] Lee Chang-yang, Minister of Industry, 3.5 Billion KRW... An Deok-geun, Head of Trade Headquarters, 4.7 Billion KRW

Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Lee Chang-yang reported assets totaling 3.493 billion KRW, including deposits and apartments.

According to the 2023 regular asset disclosure report for high-ranking public officials released on the 30th by the Government Ethics Committee through the official gazette, Minister Lee reported bank deposits of 1.138 billion KRW and an apartment jointly owned with his spouse in Samseon-dong 3-ga, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (1.017 billion KRW), totaling 3.493 billion KRW in assets.

The spouse owns commercial properties worth 190 million KRW and 167 million KRW in Guro-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, and Wolgye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, respectively, and holds deposits amounting to 925 million KRW.

Director General of Trade Negotiations Ahn Deok-geun reported assets worth 4.746 billion KRW. He holds a leasehold right on a Tower Palace apartment in Dogok-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, jointly owned with his spouse (1.995 billion KRW), deposits (645 million KRW), and stocks worth approximately 92 million KRW including shares in HDC Hyundai Development Company.

The spouse reported a multi-family house in Seongsu-dong 1-ga, Seongdong-gu, Seoul (550 million KRW), deposits (1.108 billion KRW), stocks (152 million KRW), and a condominium membership (135 million KRW).

First Vice Minister Jang Young-jin and Second Vice Minister Park Il-jun reported assets of 1.863 billion KRW and 2.369 billion KRW, respectively. Vice Minister Jang’s assets decreased by 97 million KRW, while Vice Minister Park’s increased by 100 million KRW.

Vice Minister Jang owns an apartment jointly held with his spouse (1.04 billion KRW) and a leasehold right on an apartment jointly owned by his spouse and father (900 million KRW).

He reported deposits totaling 470 million KRW, including 342 million KRW in his name and 100 million KRW in his spouse’s name. Rental deposit funds are deposited in the bank, increasing by 350 million KRW over the past year. He reported securities worth 52 million KRW. Debts including rental deposits amount to 600 million KRW.

Vice Minister Park reported land worth 300 million KRW entirely under his mother’s name, and buildings including an apartment in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, jointly owned with his spouse, valued at 2.3 billion KRW. Deposits reported totaled 670 million KRW, including 300 million KRW in his name, 80 million KRW in his spouse’s name, 16 million KRW in his mother’s name, and 280 million KRW in his eldest daughter’s name.

Debts include approximately 1 billion KRW in building rental debts under his and his eldest daughter’s names.
