Jeong Hwang-geun, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, reported assets worth 1.5 billion KRW. This is an increase of 130 million KRW compared to last year.

According to the 'High-ranking Public Officials' Asset Registration Status' published in the government gazette by the Government Ethics Committee on the 30th, Minister Jeong reported assets totaling 1.50845 billion KRW. Minister Jeong owns land (270 million KRW), buildings (740 million KRW), and deposits (450 million KRW), among others.

The buildings owned by Minister Jeong include a detached house in Cheonan-si, Chungnam, and an apartment in Sejong City, with a total value of approximately 560 million KRW. His spouse owns a detached house in Jung-gu, Daejeon, inherited (140 million KRW), where Minister Jeong's mother-in-law currently resides. He also reported a detached house in Cheonan-si, Chungnam, under his mother's name (27 million KRW) and a leasehold right for an officetel in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi, under his eldest daughter's name (10 million KRW).

Securities worth 14 million KRW are held under his eldest daughter's name. Debt under his eldest daughter's name was reported at approximately 38 million KRW.

Additionally, he owns two cars (65 million KRW), and his eldest daughter owns one car (14 million KRW).

Deputy Minister Kim In-jung reported a total of 1.2 billion KRW, including buildings (870 million KRW), cars (64 million KRW), deposits (380 million KRW), and debts (160 million KRW). Planning and Coordination Office Director Kang Hyeong-seok reported 1.4 billion KRW, Agricultural Innovation Policy Office Director Kwon Jae-han reported 1.23 billion KRW, Food Policy Office Director Kim Jeong-hee reported 2.28 billion KRW, and Director Park Bong-gyun of the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency reported 1.53 billion KRW.

Additionally, Lee Seong-hee, President of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, reported 4.7 billion KRW, making him the wealthiest high-ranking official among the subordinate agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
