Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom wrote another letter in just one day.

Following a letter sent the previous day to lodging business owners in Ulsan requesting cooperation for a nationwide event held in Ulsan, he picked up the 'pen' again on the 29th.

This time, it was a thank-you letter sent to about 90 companies contributing to the local community. Since taking office, he has conveyed his sincerity through several letters, earning a reputation as the 'letter-writing mayor.'

On the 29th, Ulsan City announced that it sent a 'letter' in the name of Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom to 95 companies that contribute to the local community through various donation activities, big and small, every year to express gratitude.

In the letter, Mayor Kim said, "Despite difficult business conditions, I would like to express my deep gratitude for practicing sharing through various community contribution activities such as donations of money and goods for socially vulnerable groups, after-school learning support for low-income children, kimchi sharing for elderly living alone, and volunteer house repair activities."

He also conveyed, "Companies are the core of economic development and the driving force behind urban progress. While a large donation from one company is important, small but meaningful contributions can collectively become pillars that firmly support our society."

Mayor Kim added that he would spare no effort to support companies and resolve their inconveniences in return for their sincere contributions.

Earlier, Ulsan City surveyed the social contribution activities over the past three years of 177 companies that donated more than 1 million won to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea in 2022.

Among them, 15 companies, including Hyundai Motor Ulsan Plant, donated more than 500 million won, with contributions including monetary donations (such as scholarships), goods donations (such as daily necessities), and social contribution projects (such as cultural and sports events).
