As proof, the YouTube video of the ‘Pinkfong Baby Shark Exercise’ has recorded 12.5 billion views, far surpassing the global population of 8 billion, making it the unrivaled number one in all-time YouTube video views.
This ambassador appointment is a follow-up measure after the city and Pinkfong Company signed a business agreement in July last year to promote the ‘Baby Shark Hometown Busan Project.’
Through this agreement, the city and Pinkfong Company designated Busan as Baby Shark’s hometown and are jointly promoting projects including ▲storytelling development ▲city branding ▲tourism promotion marketing ▲tourism infrastructure development ▲and the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo.

All videos will be produced in English for global fans and posted on Pinkfong Company’s official YouTube channel.
Additionally, in collaboration with Pinkfong Company, the city has created large photo zones featuring various scenes of Busan and sculptures of ‘Baby Shark’ and ‘Boogi’ at the international departures hall of Gimhae Airport, ensuring that the charm of Busan as a prepared candidate city for the 2030 World Expo remains with visitors until the moment they leave.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “Currently, we are making thorough preparations for the onsite inspection by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) scheduled from April 2 to 7.
