Caravan Replacement and Improvement of Flat Space Layout
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) has been selected for the Jeollanam-do public project for the regeneration of aging tourist sites, securing 700 million KRW in provincial subsidies.
According to the county on the 29th, the caravans operating at Hoisan Baengnyeonji automobile camping site have aged, causing issues with safety and convenience for tourists, raising the need for replacement, leading to the application for the provincial public project.
With the selection for this public project, a total project cost of 1.4 billion KRW (700 million KRW from the province, 700 million KRW from the county) will be invested to carry out the caravan replacement project.
Additionally, the flat spatial layout of the automobile camping site, which has been criticized for a long time, will be reconstructed three-dimensionally, and great effort will be made to create a camping site that harmonizes with Hoisan Baengnyeonji.
Park Sam-seok, head of the Tourism and Baengnyeon Facilities Team, said, “Since last year, five restaurants including grilled eel and king galbitang have been operating within Hoisan Baengnyeonji,” adding, “With the problem of lack of food options resolved and through the caravan replacement project for the automobile camping site to enhance tourist convenience, we will do our best to make Hoisan Baengnyeonji a mecca of stay-type tourism.”
