BMW Korea announced on the 29th that it has selected G-DRAGON (Ji Dae-dong) as the official ambassador for the M-exclusive high-performance Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) 'New XM.'
Officially launched in Korea on the 28th, the BMW New XM is the first M-exclusive model introduced in 45 years since the legendary sports coupe M1 was released by BMW M in 1978. At the same time, it is the first electrified model in the M high-performance lineup.
BMW Korea chose G-DRAGON, a globally influential K-pop artist and fashion and cultural icon who has built his own unique domain, as the ambassador. The reason for the selection was that his strong character and charisma align with the identity of the BMW New XM.
As the ambassador for the BMW New XM, G-DRAGON plans to convey the innovation and value of the BMW New XM through various content and news in the future.
The New XM reinterprets the concept of a high-performance SAV through an overwhelmingly enhanced presence, a newly developed M hybrid drive system, and a futuristic and luxurious interior, according to BMW officials.
