This launch ceremony was organized by the China Association of Plastics and Aesthetics to standardize the Chinese medical aesthetic market. It was held for the first time with the support of the Chinese government, attended by officials from 10 major provincial and municipal institutions and associations, including the China Health Management Supervision Association and the Comprehensive Management and Supervision Department of the Beijing Health Commission.

At the ceremony, Hugel was recognized for its contribution to the sound development of the Chinese medical aesthetic industry and received an award for outstanding companies. The event was attended by Ji Seung-wook, head of Hugel Shanghai Esthetics, Hugel’s Chinese subsidiary, and Gong Jeong, head of marketing at Meiyankongjian under Sahwan Pharmaceutical, Hugel’s Chinese distribution partner.

In line with the Chinese government’s policy to strengthen medical aesthetic management and supervision, Hugel has been promoting genuine product certification activities for its botulinum toxin product 'Botulax' (export name Retivo) since August last year. In particular, a system using barcodes was established to enable easy and quick verification of Retivo’s authenticity. Recently, the '1 Patient 1 Vial' campaign was also conducted to ensure consumers receive certified products safely from medical professionals.

Hugel has completed genuine product certification for 50 local medical institutions in 20 major Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. Going forward, Hugel plans to continuously cooperate with medical institutions alongside its Chinese partners to expand the campaign throughout China.

A Hugel representative stated, "The Chinese government’s management and supervision of counterfeit and illegally imported products has been tightening recently," adding, "We will continue to carry out various genuine product certification activities to protect consumers’ fundamental rights and promote the excellence of Korean toxin products."
