MOU for Food Tourism Souvenir Discovery and Development Support Project
Lotte Department Store and the Korea Tourism Organization are joining forces to promote food tourism souvenirs.
On the 28th, Lotte Department Store announced that its lifestyle curation shop 'Sisi Hosi,' operated by Lotte Department Store, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Tourism Organization to promote the 'Food Tourism Souvenir Discovery and Development Support Project.'
The MOU between Lotte Department Store's Sisi Hosi and the Korea Tourism Organization began in November 2021 and successfully commercialized eight food tourism souvenirs using local specialties from Korea last year, including 'Gyeongbuk Yeongdeok Snow Crab Shell Sauce,' 'Gyeongbuk Andong Jocheong Caramel,' and 'Jeonnam Goheung Yuzu Sandwheffer.'
Beyond simple commercialization, efforts were made to promote Korean food tourism souvenirs by holding pop-up events at Lotte Department Store’s main branch and Seongsu-dong, as well as participating in tourism souvenir fairs. Through this MOU, both parties plan to actively collaborate more closely to develop various food tourism souvenirs and secure domestic and international sales channels.
