The National Library of Korea under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold an independent film screening on the 11th of next month at the Digital Library Cultural Small Auditorium.

The film to be screened is "Kim Min-young of the Report Card." It is an award-winning work at major domestic film festivals such as the 22nd Jeonju International Film Festival and the 23rd Seoul International Women's Film Festival, depicting the changing relationships of three close friends who attended high school together as they turn twenty years old.

Applications for the film viewing can be made for free on the library's website starting from the 28th.

The person in charge of the independent film screening at the National Library of Korea said, "The power of K-Culture is based on the diversity of independent films. In the case of Korean independent films, except for box office hits, they have been difficult to access as they were not produced on media such as DVDs. It is a more meaningful event as we can offer various films through the independent film screening. The National Library of Korea will continue to strive to expand the cultural base of our country by providing diverse materials and services."
