According to CJ OnStyle on the 29th, a total of 37 overseas travel broadcasts were scheduled from January 1 to March 26 this year. There were no overseas travel broadcasts during the same period last year. The number of broadcasts and consultation cases have recovered to about 70% compared to 2019, before COVID-19. In particular, there is a high preference for luxury products. Despite cruise packages being high-priced products exceeding 9 million KRW, over 8,000 people applied for consultation reservations during the 7 broadcasts. In the future, many trendy travel destinations such as the Caucasus, Greece, Dubai, and Sicily will be introduced.

GS Shop has aired a total of 39 overseas travel broadcasts so far. The average number of consultations per broadcast this year is more than 30% higher than in 2019. This is because they quickly showcase travel destinations featured in recently aired travel entertainment programs through advanced travel product planning and scheduling. The broadcast on the 23rd for the ‘Modu Tour Spain·Portugal 10-day travel package’ achieved 3,300 consultation reservations. This is about 65% higher than consultations for travel products in the same time slot. The product included major travel destinations such as Barcelona, Granada, Seville, and Setenil, which were introduced in ‘Outside the Tent is Europe.’

Hyundai Home Shopping has presented a total of 18 overseas travel broadcasts this year. The broadcast on February 25 featuring Vietnam’s Nha Trang and Dalat recorded about 10,000 consultation reservations, more than three times the target. On March 1, they will introduce a Guam PIC Resort travel package, and on March 8, a Switzerland travel package. While most existing package products involved guided tours and traveling with other tourists for most of the itinerary, this year’s products are designed to maximize customers’ free time.

Lotte Home Shopping has scheduled a total of 41 overseas travel broadcasts so far, with consultation reservations reaching 82,000. These figures represent more than a tenfold increase compared to the previous year. In particular, they have reached levels similar to those before COVID-19. The Iceland product sold on February 26, despite being a high-priced item costing between 5 million and 7 million KRW, recorded over 1,000 reservations. With the allowance of Chinese tourist visas, Lotte Home Shopping plans to sell Zhangjiajie products next month.

An industry insider from the home shopping sector said, "As demand for overseas travel revives, we are continuously scheduling overseas travel products," adding, "We will also plan new travel destination products and quickly organize packages tailored to customer preferences."
