Gokseong-gun Collects Artifacts for History Museum Construction

Historical and Cultural Artifacts Must Have Clear Provenance

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it has started collecting artifacts related to the region in connection with the construction of a history museum.

The collection targets artifacts that contain the history, culture, and lifestyle of Gokseong or are deemed to have academic value, and the source of the materials must be clear.

Artifact reception will continue until the museum opens.

Those wishing to donate should first submit a donation or consignment application form to the Cultural Heritage Management Team of the Culture and Sports Division of Gokseong-gun.

Submission methods include mail (50, Guncheong-ro, Gokseong-eup, Gokseong-gun Office, Culture and Sports Division), email, or fax. The application form can be found in the Open Administration - Notices section on the official website of Gokseong-gun.

Once the application is received, the person in charge from Gokseong-gun will visit the site to verify the materials. Afterwards, the final decision on whether to collect the artifacts will be made through expert consultation.
