20 False Reports in 3 Months
A man in his 50s who repeatedly made false reports and verbally abused 14 police officers, including those who received his 112 emergency calls on his mobile phone, has been issued an arrest warrant.
According to the Changwon Seobu Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 28th, the man, Mr. A, is suspected of making false reports twenty times between January 8 and March 14.
At around 2:45 a.m. on the 14th, he made five 112 emergency calls, saying things like "I will set a fire" and "I will commit suicide."
The police who received the reports dispatched officers to the scene and met Mr. A, confirming the false reports.
Based on Mr. A's 112 call history and recorded conversations containing verbal abuse, the police issued an arrest warrant on the 27th.
Mr. A is known to have admitted to the crimes during the police investigation and is expected to be transferred for prosecution after further investigation of additional offenses.
