Coway labor and management representatives held a collective bargaining agreement signing ceremony on the 27th at Coway headquarters located in G Tower, Guro-gu, Seoul.
On the 27th, Coway announced on the 28th that it held the '2022 Wage and Collective Agreement Signing Ceremony' with the Coway Branch (installation and repair technicians) at Coway headquarters located in G Tower, Guro-gu, Seoul.
Coway began negotiations for the 2022 wage and collective agreement with the Coway Branch in October last year and reached a tentative agreement on January 3rd. Following a two-day vote among union members starting on the 26th of the same month, the agreement was finalized with 94.6% approval from Coway Branch union members. This marks the first dispute-free agreement since the union's establishment in 2019 and the shortest negotiation period of just four months.
At the '2022 Wage and Collective Agreement Signing Ceremony,' labor and management representatives, including Coway CEO Seo Jang-won and Coway Branch Chief Im Chang-kyung, attended and signed the agreement together. Through this wage and collective agreement, labor and management agreed on the provision of company vehicles, basic salary increases, and adjustments to AS work points.
Coway stated, "Based on mutual understanding and trust, labor and management have achieved a meaningful result of a dispute-free and shortest-time agreement in four years since the union's establishment." They added, "We will continue to actively strive to achieve the common goal of maximizing customer value through cooperation between labor and management amid an unstable internal and external business environment."
