‘Kkot Pineun Namhae’ Cultural Event Held
The cultural event "Blooming Namhae," where visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea in front of Noryang and the cherry blossoms in full bloom, will take place over two days on March 31 and April 1 around the Namhae Bridge area in Gyeongnam.
Held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Namhae Bridge, the "Blooming Namhae" cultural event offers a unique springtime delight by allowing visitors to freely walk across the Namhae Bridge and enjoy landscapes rarely seen, as well as various performances and experiential activities.
On the evening of Friday, March 31, a pre-event and opening ceremony will be held. The stage will be graced by fusion gugak (traditional Korean music) performers and Namhae-born singer Hadonggeun, who recently gained attention by appearing on "Mr. Trot 2."
After the performances, starting at 7:20 PM, a fireworks display will be held from a cruise ship against the backdrop of Namhae Bridge.
On Saturday, April 1, various cultural events will take place. In the morning, the Namhae Baraegil Spring Picnic event will be held with participation from walking club members nationwide. Vehicle traffic on Namhae Bridge will be restricted, and a variety of events such as a flea market, Namhae Bridge walking event, busking, and tourist participation activities will be held.
A Namhae County official stated, "Traffic control on Namhae Bridge will be enforced from 8 AM to 8 PM on Saturday, April 1, and since a large crowd is expected, we are taking thorough safety measures," adding, "We hope everyone creates unforgettable spring memories while following safety guidelines."
