Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Tae-woo) has strengthened the integrated civil-government-military defense posture amid North Korea's continuous missile provocations.


On the 27th at 5 p.m., Kim Tae-woo, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, held the ‘Gangseo-gu Integrated Defense Council Meeting’ in the district office’s large conference room to review the ‘emergency response system’ in preparation for North Korea’s provocations.


The meeting was attended by more than 30 key officials and related personnel from civil, government, and military sectors, including Mayor Kim Tae-woo.


The attendees agreed to check the roles and response systems of each agency during emergencies to maintain a solid regional integrated defense posture and to work together to establish a close cooperative system among related organizations.


The meeting, which lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes, exceeding the scheduled 1 hour, proceeded in the order of ▲appointment certificate presentation to new members ▲discussion of current issues ▲security education.


Mayor Kim Tae-woo stated, “The North Korean regime and military continue military provocations under the pretext of opposing the South Korea-U.S. joint military exercises. We will keep all emergency situations open and strengthen the cooperation system among related agencies to maintain a firm civil-government-military integrated defense posture capable of responding to any situation.”
