Additionally, experiential events for children were prepared, offering fun activities such as bubble shows, clown balloon art, face painting, as well as dyeing with onion skins, sketching, and crafts made from marine debris glass.
As this was the first event, Muan-gun recruited popular Instagram sellers to organize stores with small business owners and distinctive brands from the area.
Furthermore, sellers were instructed to arrange their booths cleanly and neatly, featuring products that are usually difficult to access.
The county’s Agricultural Policy Division promoted local agricultural products in the local food zone, selling Hwangto rice and agricultural products while conducting promotional activities to boost consumption. The Muan-gun Youth Platform hosted events such as KakaoTalk channel subscriptions, youth policy quizzes, and prize wheel draws.
A resident who participated in the event said, “It was refreshing to see a lively youth market after a long time. I hope ‘Market Ollae’ becomes a representative event of Muan,” adding, “I look forward to next month’s scheduled ‘Market Ollae’.”
The Muan-gun Small Business Association and Danmul Co., Ltd. donated 40 bags of Muan Hwangto rice to vulnerable groups using the proceeds from this sale.
Jo Su-jeong, Director of the Future Growth Division, stated, “Market Ollae provided an opportunity for young sellers and local residents to meet and communicate, bringing opportunities to youth and vitality to the region,” adding, “We will prioritize residents’ safety at the Market Ollae event scheduled for the 29th of next month.”
Meanwhile, this Market Ollae event was safely conducted with the cooperation of the Ilro-eup Autonomous Crime Prevention Unit (Chief Park Geun-il), Muan Police Station Traffic Management Division, Muan-gun Volunteer Center, and the village chiefs of Ilro-eup and Samhyang-eup.
