Yangsan City in Gyeongnam is promoting a testing and certification support project for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region to foster core strong small and medium enterprises for regional development.

Yangsan City is supporting testing and certification for local SMEs in collaboration with the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) and the Korea Testing Certification (KTC).

The city has designated KTR Yangsan branch as the executing agency to carry out the "Technology Regulation Resolution Testing and Certification Support Project" for SMEs located in Yangsan.

The support targets local SMEs that need to respond to domestic and international technical regulations for their products and technologies.

For the target companies, the project aims to support 40 companies with 113 cases through specialized local business support and new growth engine creation activities, providing services such as pre-diagnosis consulting for technical regulations, testing and certification services, and certification acquisition support.

Also, until the project budget is exhausted, companies can submit applications monthly to KTR and receive support for up to 90% of certification costs, including testing and certification services (up to 5 million KRW) and certification acquisition (up to 10 million KRW).
