Inauguration Ceremony Held on the Morning of the 27th to Begin Term

Lee Young-guk, President of the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology, held an inauguration ceremony at the headquarters in Daejeon on the morning of the 27th and began his term.


In his inaugural speech, President Lee stated, "To achieve the two important values of 'leaping to become the world's best chemical research institute' and 'a chemical institute where all members are happy,' I will adopt 'People,' 'Vision,' and 'Responsibility' as the three core management philosophies and establish various strategies."

President Lee is an expert in the LED device field who has contributed significantly to the localization of equipment technology while working at the institute for over 34 years since 1989. He has served as the Head of the Green Chemical Materials Research Division and the Director of the Information and Electronic Materials Research Center. From 2020, he also served for two years as the Head of the Materials and Components Division at the National Research Foundation of Korea. He has been actively involved in various external activities, including serving as President of the Korean Crystal Growth Society and Vice Chair of Industry-Academia Cooperation at the Korean Ceramic Society.


He earned his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Inorganic Materials Engineering from Seoul National University.
