Hanwha Systems Obtains BM Patent for AI Education Support System

Introducing Affordable ai-CODI Expected in Q2

Hanwha Systems' Information and Communication Technology (ICT) division announced on the 27th that it has obtained a BM patent related to the AI-based learner-customized education and employment support solution 'ai-CODI'. A BM patent is a type of patent granted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office when a new business model is developed using IT.

ai-CODI, a solution launched by Hanwha Systems last year, is characterized by the application of AI and big data technologies. Its purpose is to provide optimized learning and employment information tailored to individuals based on student experience data such as academic records, administration, and electronic attendance.

Hanwha Systems received the ai-CODI BM patent due to its 'data lake' technology that collects and integrates various systems and data dispersed across universities for comprehensive analysis. Another key factor in obtaining the patent was the introduction of an 'AI solution' model that uses machine learning technology based on collected data to recommend customized content suited to user characteristics.

Hanwha Systems plans to maintain the distinctiveness and competitiveness of the learner-customized education and employment support system by packaging its main functions and offering a lower-priced 'standardized ai-CODI solution' in the second quarter. Through this, the company aims to diversify the market. They also plan to continuously expand the solution product line by incorporating the recently spotlighted generative AI.

We will support the digital transformation (DT) of the education sector, represented by AI and the metaverse, in the post-COVID era and provide services that enable students to develop practical academic and job competencies.”
