Gyeonggi Province will provide welfare points worth 1.2 million KRW annually to 12,000 young workers in the province.


On the 27th, the province announced that it will publicly recruit 12,000 participants for the first round of the 'Youth Welfare Points' program from the 1st to the 17th of next month to improve the welfare of young workers in the province and resolve job mismatches.


The Youth Welfare Points program targets young workers aged 18 to 34 residing in the province who work at least 36 hours per week at small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-sized companies, small business owners, or non-profit organizations within the province, with a monthly salary of 3.1 million KRW or less. The program provides welfare points worth 1.2 million KRW annually. For those fulfilling military service obligations, the application age limit (up to 39 years old) is extended by the length of their service period.


This year, a total of 33,000 young workers are eligible for the Youth Welfare Points program.
