Ahead of April BIE On-Site Inspection, Efforts Begin to Win Voter Support
"Hello to everyone around the world, Aso Oiso"
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 26th that it has released a promotional video for the Busan World Expo bid titled "Busan citizens invite you all," featuring Busan citizens themselves introducing Busan's determination and capabilities to host the event in the languages of 15 member countries of the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE).
This comes ahead of the BIE inspection team's visit to Korea from the 2nd to the 7th of next month, who will oversee the selection of the host city for the 2030 World Expo, aiming to secure support from BIE member countries and to rally enthusiasm for Busan's bid both domestically and internationally.
Additionally, 16 one-minute videos were produced exclusively in the languages of each member country.

Hyundai Motor Group plans to showcase this global promotional video not only on its YouTube channel and Facebook but also at the Busan bid support event at Gwanghwamun Square, which the BIE inspection team is scheduled to visit, as well as at the "2023 Seoul Mobility Show."
The integrated global video and short-form videos feature Busan citizens of all ages and professions, including children, youth, middle-aged and elderly residents, market vendors, office workers, station staff, and students, demonstrating Busan's sincere commitment to hosting the World Expo.
The videos include 15 languages such as English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Greek, Slovenian, Hebrew, and Indonesian, representing approximately 90 BIE member countries where these languages are spoken.
Hyundai Motor Group expects that although Busan citizens may not have perfect pronunciation, introducing Busan directly in the languages of BIE member countries will convey a sense of friendliness and sincerity to those countries.
A Hyundai Motor Group official stated, "We plan to mobilize the group's online and offline capabilities before and after the BIE's on-site inspection scheduled from the 2nd to the 7th of next month to gather global interest and enthusiasm for the Busan World Expo," adding, "From the moment the inspection team arrives in Korea until they depart, we will present not only this global video but also a variety of promotional programs to showcase the national enthusiasm for the bid."
