Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk, held a campaign on the 23rd at Jinbo Market to promote the 10 cancer prevention rules, emphasize the importance of management, and encourage participation in the national cancer screening in commemoration of 'Cancer Prevention Day' (March 21).
The World Health Organization reports that one-third of cancer cases can be prevented through preventive activities, one-third can be completely cured through early diagnosis and treatment, and the remaining one-third can be alleviated with appropriate treatment.
On this day, the county conducted a campaign to commemorate Cancer Prevention Day, providing an opportunity to widely inform residents about the importance of cancer prevention and screening, healthy lifestyle habits, and early cancer detection.
County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee said, “It seems to have been a good opportunity to inform residents about cancer prevention rules and the importance of undergoing cancer screening,” adding, “Since congestion is expected for health checkups at the end of the year, those eligible this year (odd-numbered years) are encouraged to undergo cancer screening promptly.”
