COVID-19 New Cases 10,448... 1,200 More Than Last Week

The number of new COVID-19 cases nationwide on the 25th was recorded at 10,448.


The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on that day, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 10,448, bringing the total to 3,759,895.


The number of new cases on this day was 165 more than the previous day (10,283), remaining at a similar level.

Compared to one week ago on the 18th (9,259 cases), it increased by 1,189 cases, and compared to two weeks ago on the 11th (10,011 cases), it increased by 447 cases.


After the winter resurgence subsided, the recent number of new cases has remained stagnant without significant trend changes.


From the 19th to this day, the daily new cases for one week were 8,802 → 3,924 → 10,213 → 10,376 → 11,397 → 10,283 → 10,448, with a daily average of 9,991 cases.


Among the new cases on this day, 17 were imported cases, and 10,431 were domestic infections excluding imported cases.


The number of confirmed cases by region (including imported cases) were: Gyeonggi 3,118, Seoul 2,268, Incheon 578, Gyeongbuk 506, Jeonbuk 435, Chungbuk 417, Chungnam 401, Daejeon 394, Gyeongnam 387, Daegu 369, Busan 346, Gwangju 287, Jeonnam 276, Gangwon 257, Jeju 206, Sejong 113, Ulsan 85, Quarantine 5.


The number of critically ill patients hospitalized as of midnight was 153, which is 9 more than the previous day (144).


The number of deaths on the previous day was 6, which is 4 fewer than the day before (10).


The cumulative number of deaths is 34,217, and the cumulative fatality rate is 0.11%.
