Major Golf Club Membership Prices Rise... Repeated Buy Orders
As the spring season approaches, inquiries about golf membership sales continue, and the membership prices of major golf courses have generally risen. With listings and purchase orders recurring, the market is expected to remain in a box range for the time being.
According to the Donga Membership Exchange on the 25th, the average price of 100 major golf course memberships traded nationwide was 233.89 million KRW, up 0.57% from the previous week. By price range, the ultra-high price segment rose 0.57%, the high price segment 0.47%, and the mid-price segment 0.34%, while the low price segment fell 0.08%. Experts analyzed, "The ultra-high price segment turned bullish due to a lack of listings, whereas the low price segment showed a slight decline due to an increase in listings."
By region, the average price in the central region rose 0.47% from the previous week to 263.21 million KRW. Popular items in the Yongin area, 88 and Giheung, showed repeated patterns of stability and increase. New Seoul recorded 330 million KRW, up 3% from the previous week, influenced by accumulated purchase orders from individuals and corporations. Asiana rose 5.5% from the previous week to 730 million KRW without any transactions. Namchon recorded 1.87 billion KRW, up 1.6% from the previous week, with additional corporate purchase orders. Vision Hills and East Valley, with no listings but increasing purchase inquiries, reached 1.55 billion KRW and 1.85 billion KRW respectively. Among the low-price items, most maintained stability, but Hanwon saw an increase in listings and fell 1.8% from the previous week to 57 million KRW.
Golf courses in the southern region also showed an overall upward trend. The average price rose 1.02% from the previous week to 154.41 million KRW. Bugok recorded 67.5 million KRW, up 3.08% from the previous week, as purchase orders accumulated despite the difficulty in finding listings. Haeundae, while accumulating purchase orders, saw a shortage of listings and recorded 215 million KRW, down 2.3% from the previous week. Changwon recorded 147 million KRW, up 4.8% from the previous week, as transactions were made matching the selling price amid intense negotiation between sellers and buyers. Asiad, which had been experiencing a shortage of listings, rose 8.3% from the previous week as high-priced listings were sold.
Lee Yun-hee, team leader at Donga Membership Exchange, said, "In the southern region membership market, although inquiries about sales are increasing, listings of popular golf course memberships remain scarce, so the market is expected to show a firm and stable trend."
