SeAH Steel Holdings Co., Ltd., SeAH Steel Co., Ltd., and SeAH CM Co., Ltd. have become the first companies in the domestic steel industry to obtain the ‘ISO 37301’ certification, a standard for compliance management systems.

On the 24th, the three companies announced that they simultaneously received the compliance management system ‘ISO 37301’ certification from the Korea Compliance Certification Authority (KCCA).

The compliance management system ‘ISO 37301’ is an international standard related to compliance established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in April 2021. It is an international certification awarded after evaluating whether a company’s compliance management policies and risk management systems meet global standards and operate effectively.

The three companies that obtained the certification?SeAH Steel Holdings Co., Ltd., SeAH Steel Co., Ltd., and SeAH CM Co., Ltd.?selected Compliance Helpers from key departments to build the compliance management system. Led by the Compliance Management Team, the dedicated compliance management organization of SeAH Steel Holdings Co., Ltd., they have carried out systematic and rigorous compliance activities that meet global standards, including ▲establishing compliance management system work procedures ▲systematic risk identification and setting control measures for each risk ▲acquiring internal auditor qualifications and conducting internal audits ▲compliance monitoring.

In particular, SeAH Steel Holdings Co., Ltd. plans to complete within this year the establishment of an interactive ‘Integrated Compliance Platform’ that allows employees to directly participate through compliance lectures and information sharing to spread a culture of compliance within the company. This platform will further enhance the company’s transparency and credibility among various stakeholders.

A representative of SeAH Steel Holdings Co., Ltd. said, "Obtaining the ‘ISO 37301’ certification for the compliance management system, the first in the domestic steel industry, is highly meaningful as it objectively recognizes our overall compliance management activities. We will continue to strive to become a model case that highlights the importance of compliance throughout the steel industry."
