Sales for Osaka Route Begin from the 24th
T'way Air announced on the 24th that it has added new international routes such as Osaka and Bangkok to Cheongju Airport to revitalize the airport and provide travel convenience for local residents.
T'way Air began operating the Cheongju-Jeju route in April 2020, and from January 11th, it started international flights at Cheongju Airport with the Cheongju-Da Nang route.
Cheongju Airport, which had no regular international flights since the COVID-19 pandemic, resumed international operations after 2 years and 11 months. The Cheongju-Da Nang route, which started with four flights per week, increased to daily flights from February 8th. More than 20,000 passengers have used the service since its launch.
T'way Air plans to operate the Bangkok route four times a week starting April 27th and the Osaka route seven times a week starting June 8th.
From 2 p.m. on March 24th, T'way Air will begin selling tickets for the Cheongju-Osaka route on its official website, mobile app, and web. The flight departs Cheongju Airport at 10 a.m. and arrives at Osaka Kansai Airport at 11:40 a.m. Ticket sales for the Cheongju-Bangkok route will commence once all necessary procedures are completed.
A T'way Air official stated, “We are preparing to launch routes from Cheongju to Nha Trang and Yanji within the first half of the year,” adding, “We will continue to expand international flights from regional airports to provide safe and convenient air routes for local passengers and contribute to the revitalization of regional airports.”
