The Genesis brand announced on the 24th that it will launch the model year change model '2023 G90' on the 24th and begin full-scale sales.
The 2023 G90 expanded customer options by adding the gasoline 3.5 turbo 48V electric supercharger (e-S/C) engine to the standard model as well. It also enhanced product competitiveness by standardizing various safety and convenience features.
Genesis added the gasoline 3.5 turbo 48V electric supercharger engine, which was previously only available in the long-wheelbase model, to the standard model of the 2023 G90.
The gasoline 3.5 turbo 48V electric supercharger engine compresses the air once more through a motor at low engine rotation (rpm) ranges before supplying it. Compared to the 3.5 turbo engine, it advances the maximum torque point, improving acceleration responsiveness at low to mid speeds.
Genesis standardized the Driving Assistance Package, which consists of various safety and convenience features such as ▲Surround View Monitor ▲Blind-Spot View Monitor ▲Remote Smart Parking Assist (including wide-angle camera-based parking and diagonal parking) ▲Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (front, side, rear) ▲Augmented Reality Navigation ▲Front Seat Pre-Active Seatbelt.
Additionally, the easy close function usability was enhanced by enabling the rear door to close automatically via the infotainment system display. The newly applied ESEV (Engine Sound by Engine Vibration) measures engine vibrations in real time and converts them into sound to provide a more immersive engine sound experience.
Furthermore, a newly designed 21-inch wheel was added as an optional feature for the standard model. The previously two recommended option packages were expanded to three: ▲Popular Collection ▲Premium Collection ▲Prestige Collection.
The sales price of the 2023 G90 is 94.07 million KRW for the standard model and 167.57 million KRW for the long-wheelbase model.
A Genesis official stated, "The G90 is a flagship model that embodies Genesis's design philosophy and advanced technology," adding, "By enhancing overall product competitiveness, we will increase the completeness as a flagship and provide a differentiated customer experience."
