On the 23rd, the National Police Agency stated, "Following a red notice issued by Interpol, we apprehended individuals suspected to be Kwon Do-hyung and Han Chang-jun in Montenegro," adding, "We have requested ten-fingerprint verification for final identity confirmation and are awaiting the response. We expect to confirm the final results by tomorrow morning."

The police announced that once they receive the ten fingerprints from Montenegro, they will compare them with the ten fingerprints stored in South Korea's resident registration system to verify identity before proceeding with subsequent procedures. The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office will handle future extradition and related processes.

Prior to the coin crash incident, CEO Kwon left the country at the end of April last year, stayed in Singapore where the headquarters is located, and then fled to Eastern Europe, Serbia, via Dubai Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September.
