Until April 16: 'Spring Again, Exciting Cheongwadae'
The Cultural Heritage Administration's Blue House Public Opening Promotion Team and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation will present the performance "Spring Again, Exciting Blue House" from the 29th of this month until the 16th of next month.
The venue is the Blue House helipad and the Grand Garden, which have been visited by over 3 million citizens. At the former, performances will be held daily at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. until the 14th of next month. On the 29th, the band Dubeonjjaedal, known for their fusion music with a folk flavor, will perform. On the 30th and 31st, Seodo Band, famous for their variations of traditional Korean music and pop, will meet the audience. On the 1st and 2nd of next month, the Kwon Wontae Tightrope Troupe will deliver thrilling performances. Additionally, the traditional music band Isang, the a cappella group Narin, the jazz trio Gentle Lane, the jazz ensemble Mr. Brass, and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation's arts troupe will participate, offering a variety of performances. At the latter venue, the Ministry of National Defense Support Unit will perform on the 15th and 16th of next month, showcasing the essence of Korea's traditional honor guard and military music.
All performances are open to any Blue House visitors. However, they will not be held on Tuesdays, the weekly closing day. Performances may be canceled in case of rain. A representative of the Promotion Team said, "The plum blossoms at Sangchunjae, azaleas and tulips at the official residence, and cornelian cherries at Sojeongwon are all preparing to welcome spring visitors," adding, "From next month, wildflowers such as 돌단풍 (Doldanpung), daffodils, and violets will also be in full bloom."
