Jung Yura "Worried About Mother's Surgery Costs... Envious of Those Attending Book Concerts"

Former Justice Minister Cho Kuk's Daughter Cho Min's Statement
"Feeling like I'm forced to live without dying... I'm exhausted"

Jung Yura, the daughter of Choi Seo-won (formerly Choi Soon-sil), who is serving time for the 'state affairs manipulation' scandal during the Park Geun-hye administration, mentioned Cho Min, the daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, once again while sharing news about her mother's shoulder surgery.

On the afternoon of the 23rd, Jung posted on her Facebook, "Mom is undergoing a reoperation today due to inflammation at the shoulder surgery site," adding, "She is quite elderly, yet she has to undergo general anesthesia multiple times... She kept repeating the same words for days and was mentally disoriented, and her condition worsened, so she is having surgery again," updating on her mother Choi's condition.

Jung also expressed her struggles with the hospital expenses and her own pain. She wrote, "The period for the suspension of sentence is almost over, and I just want to die. Amid this, I feel disgusted worrying about hospital bills realistically," and "I feel like I am being forced to live because I cannot die. I am so upset and so exhausted." She added, "I wonder if this is really living, and today, I envy those who just follow book concerts."

The 'those who just follow book concerts' she refers to is Cho Min, the daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk. On the 17th, Cho Min appeared on stage after being called by the host during a dialogue event with the author of 'A Classical Walk with Cho Kuk' held at the Roh Moo-hyun Citizen Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul. At the time, she said, "I attended the event to support my father," and added, "(The book concert) was more fun than I expected, so I was watching it wholeheartedly with the audience."

At the event, Cho Min revealed that her father's MBTI (personality type test) result is 'ISTJ,' describing him as a "clean and upright logicalist." She continued, "No matter what I do, whether good or bad things happen, my father has always been on my side," and said, "No matter what happens to my father in the future or whatever he wants to do, I will always be on his side. I want to tell him to do whatever he wants."

Previously, Jung posted several messages targeting Cho Min on her Facebook. Earlier this month, she posted a photo of an article containing an interview where Cho Min said she is confident and fully qualified as a doctor, writing, "What was so lacking in my qualifications as an equestrian that your dad (former Minister Cho Kuk) treated me that way?" and added, "Just laughing it off." On the 16th, when Cho Min appeared as a witness in a trial regarding the cancellation of her admission to Pusan National University Medical School and said, "I did my best from my position," Jung responded, "I can't stand it anymore," and said, "Prosecutors, quickly issue a warrant. Do the same to me as you did. If Cho Min's doctor license is not canceled immediately, I will go after other athletes and have the degrees of those who did not appear revoked."

Meanwhile, three hours after posting about her mother undergoing surgery, Jung posted a new message informing that although her mother Choi had surgery, frequent operations caused inflammation, requiring another reoperation. She said that Choi has been under severe stress recently due to allegations related to Daejang-dong and angrily stated, "An Min-seok and Bong Ji-wook, who tried to link Daejang-dong with my mother, go to hell. They will surely pay for their karma someday."

At the end of her post, Jung revealed her bank account number and requested help, saying, "This surgery, reoperation, and extended hospital stay will incur more hospital expenses."
