Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon highly praised the visit of the Vietnamese National Assembly delegation to Gyeonggi Province, saying that the dynamic Gyeonggi Province met with young Vietnam.

On the 23rd, Governor Kim posted on his social media service (SNS) an article titled "Hand-in-Hand Cooperation Preparing for the Future of Gyeonggi Province and Vietnam," stating, "In 2018, as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, I accompanied President Moon Jae-in on his state visit to Vietnam." He added, "As Governor of Gyeonggi Province, following my meeting with then State President 'Nguyen Xuan Phuc' last December, today the Vietnamese National Assembly delegation including Vice Chairman 'Nguyen Duc Hai' visited the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office."

He introduced Vietnam as a country with ▲ a trade volume 175 times larger than 30 years ago ▲ the 4th largest trading partner and largest investor following China, the United States, and Japan ▲ the world's second largest rare earth deposit country ▲ a nation expected to cooperate on future-oriented issues such as digital transformation and climate response.

He continued, "I had in-depth discussions with the delegation about Gyeonggi-Vietnam cooperation," adding, "I also shared my experience working on Vietnam-related projects during my time at the World Bank and viewed together a painting gifted by Chairman 'Nguyen Xuan Phuc' displayed on the first floor of the provincial office."

Furthermore, he pledged, "Dynamic Gyeonggi Province and young Vietnam will join hands to lead the future together," promising, "More than 20 countries, including ambassadors and businesspeople, have already visited Gyeonggi Province. We will envision a future full of opportunities in Gyeonggi, a province sought by the world and where global companies expect growth."
