Hampyeong Butterfly Festival Promotes Local Specialties and More
Hampyeong-gun has launched a large-scale promotional campaign to attract tourists from the Seoul metropolitan area.
On the 23rd, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that it participated in the 'Jeonnam Visit Year Season 2 Seoul Festival' and operated a Hampyeong tourism promotion booth.
This event was held for two days on the 21st and 22nd at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul to mark the second year of the '2022-2023 Jeonnam Visit Year.'
The county set up a promotional booth to introduce Hampyeong’s diverse tourist attractions such as the 25th Hampyeong Butterfly Festival opening on the 28th of next month, Dolmeori Beach, and Hampyeong Cheonji-gil.
They also showcased local specialty products including Nabi rice, raw meat bibimbap, Red Mountain, and Hampyeong honey, and held various events such as roulette games to attract visitors.
A county official said, “It was a great opportunity to promote the taste and charm of Hampyeong,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to revitalize Hampyeong tourism.”
Meanwhile, the county plans to continue its promotional activities by participating in the ‘3rd Korea Representative Festival Expo’ held at BEXCO in Busan in April and the ‘2023 NaeNara Travel Expo’ held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza.
