Dong-A University has signed an academic exchange agreement with Japan's Bunkyo Gakuin University to promote student exchanges and the exchange of faculty and research materials in related fields.
At the agreement signing ceremony held on the 21st in the main conference room of Dong-A University's Seunghak Campus, Dong-A University President Lee Hae-woo, Vice President Kang Dae-sung, Director of External and International Affairs Park Hyun-tae, officials from the International Exchange Department, Bunkyo Gakuin University President Sakurai Takashi, Tajima Hideyuki, Professor of the Faculty of Human Studies, and Kim Eon-sook, Professor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, attended.
Dong-A University and Bunkyo Gakuin University officials are taking a commemorative photo to celebrate the signing of an academic exchange agreement.
President Lee said at the event, "Busan is geographically close to Japan, which has led to many exchanges, and our university has actively engaged in exchanges with Japanese universities by leveraging this geographical advantage. We hope that this agreement with Bunkyo Gakuin University, located in Tokyo, will lead to active exchanges and cooperation."
President Sakurai said, "We are very pleased to establish an exchange agreement with Dong-A University. As part of the 100th anniversary commemorative project of the Bunkyo Gakuin University Educational Foundation, we are promoting active overseas exchange programs, and we hope to continue diverse and deep exchange programs with Dong-A University."
Founded in 1991, Japan's Bunkyo Gakuin University is a private university located in Tokyo with about 5,000 students and 180 faculty members. It has faculties of Foreign Languages, Business Administration, Human Studies, and Health and Medical Technology, and also operates graduate schools.
The Bunkyo Gakuin University Educational Foundation also operates a girls' middle school, girls' high school, and kindergarten, and is promoting the commemorative project "Journey of New Civilization" ahead of its 100th anniversary in 2024.
Prior to this agreement, Dong-A University and Bunkyo Gakuin University also held consultations on the Journey of New Civilization program and conducted facility tours.
