Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, will conduct a nutrition class program until November to help prevent chronic diseases, osteoporosis, and strengthen immunity.
On the 23rd, Nam-gu announced that it is operating 'The Delicious One Meal Nutrition Class,' where participants learn healthy meal preparation methods from professional chefs, and is openly recruiting participants until the 30th.
The nutrition class will be held once every first Friday of the month from December 7th to November 3rd.
Nam-gu plans to invite cooking master Lee Su-jeong to conduct the nutrition class program, preparing a variety of dishes.
Until November, through practical sessions, the program will showcase various cooking methods including smoked duck, konjac salad, soy sauce bulgogi, chicken rice paper, nutritious rice cakes, five-colored muffins, low-sodium kimchi and gochujang, and making natural seasoning sauces, according to Nam-gu.
All ingredients necessary for practice will be provided to the students participating in the nutrition class program, and participation is free of charge.
Anyone residing in Juwol 1·2-dong, Hyodeok-dong, and Jinwol-dong can participate, and the number of recruits is 20.
If a participant is absent more than twice, they will not be allowed to continue in the program, and vacancies will be filled from the waiting list.
Residents wishing to participate can submit an application form by visiting the Juwol Health Living Support Center or by phone by the 30th.
