This Year Marks the 50th Anniversary of the Power Transmission Parts Specialist Company
Daedong Gear, a powertrain specialist company under Daedong Group, announced on the 23rd that it has appointed No Jae-eok as the new CEO. No Jae-eok majored in mechanical engineering at Yeungnam University and joined Daedong Industrial's Production Technology Headquarters in 1992. He has served as head of Daedong's Production Headquarters, Quality Management Headquarters, and Development Purchasing Headquarters. From 2020 to 2022, he served as factory manager, contributing to Daedong surpassing 1 trillion KRW in sales for the first time in its history by timely supplying products to domestic and overseas agricultural machinery markets without any factory shutdowns despite the COVID-19 situation. Last year, he also took charge of the production division at Daedong Mobility, Daedong Group's smart mobility specialist company.
Daedong Gear is an agricultural machinery powertrain manufacturing company celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It currently develops and produces key power transmission components such as transmissions, gearboxes, and gears for agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, and automobiles. Last year, it recorded sales of 242.1 billion KRW individually, growing 19.3% compared to the previous year, maintaining double-digit sales growth rates over the past three years.
CEO No said, "I feel a heavy responsibility taking office as CEO at a time when the company is marking its 50th anniversary and making a turning point in its business." He added, "We will continuously strengthen our core power transmission component capabilities such as powertrains needed for the group's smart agricultural machinery and smart electric mobility businesses, and based on this, expand into areas like electric vehicles to transform Daedong Gear into a core mobility parts manufacturer."
