Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) has opened the ‘KIT Korean Language Institute’ within Bac Giang Industrial Technology University in Vietnam.
The ‘KIT Korean Language Institute’ is an institution that teaches Korean to local Vietnamese university students, and this is the second institute established following the one set up in January at Bac Ha Technical College.
Chairman Park Dong-soon of the Dongseo Academy Foundation and President Kim Dae-sik of Gyeongnam Information University visited Vietnam on the 22nd to hold the plaque unveiling ceremony for the ‘KIT Korean Language Institute’.
The ceremony was attended by officials from Gyeongnam Information University, key university officials including Cao Thi Mai Phuong, President of Bac Giang Industrial Technology University, and over 50 local students.

President Kim Dae-sik of Gyeongnam Information University said, “We are pleased to operate a Korean language institute that can teach Korean language and culture locally in Vietnam,” adding, “We will support local students so that after learning Korean, they can pursue studying abroad in Korea as well as employment opportunities.”
The Gyeongnam Information University delegation plans to visit Hanoi International College and Nguyen Trai University to discuss issues related to student exchanges, exchange students, and employment linkage for international students as part of inter-university international cooperation.
Last October, President Kim Dae-sik visited Vietnam, met with the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam to secure support, and signed MOUs with five local universities, thereby expanding exchanges with Vietnam.
